After #SuccessfulG20, Kashmir is all set to host the first-ever ‘Kashmir World Film Festival’

Jammu and Kashmir will host the ‘Kashmir World Film Festival’ in October this year. Over 60 films from India and abroad will be screened at the five-day festival. More than 60 film delegates from all regions of the country will participate in the event.

According to the festival director Mushtaq Ali Ahmed Khan, the dates for the Kashmir World Film Festival will be revealed in the coming days.

He further added, “This festival will be one of its kind where more than 60 films will be screened in 5 days and will be attended by more than 60 delegates.”

According to Khan, “This will be a historic moment for the Jammu and Kashmir film industry as it will reopen the doors of the film industry in the region. Apart from this, it will also enable the youth of Jammu and Kashmir to showcase their talent at national and international levels.”

Jammu and Kashmir Government in a handout said, “Mushtaaque Ali Ahmad Khan, Festival Director, Kashmir World Film Festival called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhawan and apprised the Lt Governor on the preparations for upcoming Kashmir World Film Festival, which is scheduled to be held in the month of October this year. Gulzar Ahmad Bhat, Chairman, All J&K Folk Artists Association was also present during the meeting”.
