Hindu Heritage Month resolution passed by the Lower House of Canada

Historic: Due to the hard work and efforts of the Hindu community living in Canada and Indo Canadian Member of Parliament Chandra Arya, the Canadian House of Commons has passed the bill to celebrate Hindu Heritage Month to November.

A motion by Indo-Canadian MP Chandra Arya to declare November as the National Hindu Heritage Month is passed unanimously by the Canadian House of Commons.

He shared this information through his Twitter post, “I hope this will motivate Hindu-Canadians to continue on their growth path in Canada and reach further higher levels in all spheres of Canadian society/life., economy or business, academic or culture, politics or philanthropy.”

In Canada, there are already months devoted to a similar heritage. Sikh Heritage Month is observed in April, Canadian Jewish Heritage Month is in May, and Canadian Islamic History Month is in October.
