After the Gap of 45 years Sikhs Organized a Landmark Nagar Kirtan in Baramulla of Kashmir

Today, District Gurudwara Prabandak Committee (DGPC) Baramulla Kashmir, in collaboration with various social groups and community organizations, organized a landmark Nagar Kirtan. This event was notably the first of its kind on such a grand scale in many years after a gap of 45 Years. The Nagar Kirtan commenced at 9:00 AM from Gurudwara Guru Teg Bahadur, located on the National Highway in Kanispora, Baramulla, and concluded at Gurudwara Chavi Patshai Baramulla around 3:00 PM, covering a distance of 7 kilometers over 6 hours.
The procession, led by Guru Granth Sahib Ji and the 5 Piyaras, proceeded through heavy rainfall, which was seen as a blessing that provided relief from the intense heat for the devotees. Langar stalls were set up by the sangat at various points along the route.
The event was impeccably organized by DGPC Baramulla with the support of various other organizations. The discipline, patience, and professional conduct exhibited by all stakeholders were commendable.
DGPC Baramulla extends sincere gratitude to all involved parties, particularly the District Administration led by Mr. Minga Sherpa (IAS), DC Baramulla, Mr. Amod Nagpure (IPS), SSP Baramulla, and all officers and officials from various departments who provided essential support and cooperation. We look forward to organizing similar events in the future.
