Promoting the Electronic and IT Sector: KCCI and ESC India establish a memorandum of understanding
On June 20, 2021, an MoU was signed between the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industries (KCCI) and the Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC) at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. The event was graced by the presence of the Lieutenant Governor (LG) of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha.
The MoU aimed to promote the growth of the electronics and software industry in Jammu and Kashmir, and to provide a platform for local businesses to connect with the national and international markets. The agreement also aimed to facilitate the development of the IT infrastructure in the region and to encourage entrepreneurship and innovation.
The signing of this MoU is expected to provide a major boost to the electronics and software industry in Jammu and Kashmir, and to create new employment opportunities in the region. It is also a significant step towards the development of a vibrant and sustainable IT ecosystem in the state, which is expected to contribute to the overall economic growth of the region.
